The City of Krugerville has adopted the Denton County Emergency Management Plan and Denton County has adopted an improved notification system to help keep citizens informed during times of emergencies. Through the CodeRED systems, residents can sign up to receive critical communications from weather warnings, to evacuation notices, to missing child alerts. Any resident of Denton County can sign-up for this free service by going to http://www.dentoncounty.com and clicking on Sign up today for emergency telephone and text notifications. This is a self-registration system and will allow the citizen to manage their own information as an account..
The CodeRED system is effective tool for Denton County Emergency Services to communicate anticipated threats to the community. Although, citizens should understand that CodeRED is one tool in their toolbox for gaining important information and to stay alert of approaching dangers. During a disaster the phone systems could be damaged or overloaded, so we strongly recommend that residents also have a NOAA Weather Radio to receive information, should phone service not be available. Severe weather season is here, so this is a great time to get signed-up so you can stay informed.
Should you need assistance with sign-up please contact City Hall at 940-365-5833
