Trash & Recycling
The 2019 Bulk Trash Dates are:

Bulk Trash days are usually the 3rd Saturday of each quarter and there is also on your quarterly trash bill.
Trash & Recycling are picked up each Wednesday and may be rescheduled due to inclement weather, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. For an update on information, please call City Hall.
Please have both Trash & Recycling curbside no later than 7:00 am. Your trash must be secured at the top and contained in trash bags or trash cans with the lids firmly secured. Trash cans/bags, when full, cannot weigh more than 35 pounds. Recycling materials must be in the blue Progressive Waste can and only approved items may be placed in the toter.
There are four (4) City-wide bulk trash pickup dates each year, included with your regular service. Your bulk items must be curbside by 7:00 am. Brush, newspapers, tree trimmings, branches, etc., must be bundled and cut into 4 foot lengths or less and can weigh no more than 40 pounds. Any refrigerant, coolant, or Freon must be drained by a licensed HVAC Professional, certified and tagged with the information required by the State. Any paint cans must have the lids removed and be completely dry on the inside. Cat litter or sand can be helpful with this process. No tires or batteries are allowed. Volume cannot exceed two (2) cubic yards.
Trash and recycle are billed quarterly. Therefore, you will receive statements the first weeks of January, April, July, and October. If you would like your quarterly trash payment to be automatically debited from your bank account, a "Bank Drafting Authorization Form" will need to be filled out and submitted to City Hall, along with a voided check. This form may be obtained on our website or at City Hall.
The quarterly charge is $64.95, with an optional $3.00 per quarter for Care Flite services. The deposit for residential trash is $85.00; commercial is $125.00.
Quarterly payments are due on the last working day of the month of each quarter. If payment is not received by the due date, a late fee will be assessed. If payment is not received within sixty (60) days of the due date, the City has the option to turn unpaid accounts over to collection, issue a citation for ordinance violation, and/or terminate trash services. The City may elect any or all options, at its sole discretion.
